"Ephemera is a festival of performing and visual arts that emerged from the need to engage with the contemporary - says Eleonora Cedaro curator of the festival with Rachele D’Osualdo - I am convinced that presenting the work and research of Fabio Mauri today is deeply relevant to the times we are living in. This exhibition explores the investigative process that led to his major performances in the 1970s, opening up fertile and urgent reflections on the significant themes that shaped Mauri’s thinking over the decades."
Ephemera Festival, in co-production with Trieste Contemporanea / Studio Tommaseo, presents an exhibition dedicated to Fabio Mauri’s performances curated by Sara Codutti.Through photographs by the great photographers who followed the artist in his research - Elisabetta Catalano, Claudio Abate, Massimo Piersanti, Antonio Masotti, and Maria Mulas - together with material traces, documents, notes, and ephemeral materials from the artist’s archive, the exhibition reflects on his performative practice and on the relationship between action, memory, and documentation.
